The Australian Ballet- The Nutcracker  

Sydney Opera House, Bennelong Point, Sydney  

30 Nov – 18 Dec, just in time for Christmas! Peter Wright’s The Nutcracker will be performed by the Australian Ballet at the iconic Opera House no less! Colourful costumes, Tchaikovsky’s score for Ballet, and dancers ‘Glissade-ing’ their way across the stage!? A perfect ‘first show’ if you’ve never witnessed a ballet performance before!

Friday 4- Sunday 13 October, the Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Sydney community theatre group will be performing the classical comedic opera ‘The Mikado’! A Western take on the confusing cultural intricacies of feudal Japan? But it promises to be a heap of laughs and iconic musical numbers!

Perform, Record and Create Music Workshop

561 Harris Street, Ultimo

Friday 12 July- With a bit of a void in good live music acts performing in Syd in Jul-Aug, the best resort is to make your own! For High-schoolers (only) this workshop will be an immersive experience, enabling you to join a band to perform songs for a live recording! And after the tracks have been laid down, the workshop will teach you how to edit the tracks in the computer lab using tech like Apple Garageband and Ableton Live! Cost: $50 pp.
